“Art” Events

Through storytelling, symbolism, pattern, color, and composition, participants will create their own modern interpretations while learning about the history and aesthetics of Persian miniatures.

This class will cover everything from woodworking safety to transforming a piece of wood with stains and finish along with all of tricks that are helpful to know to make a frame by hand at a professional level.

This class, meant for students at all skill levels, will start from the ground up teaching students how to mix colors like the impressionists and introduce students to various techniques that evolved in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

By the end of this class, you will have not only a beautiful series of handmade prints but all the skills necessary to continue making pochoir prints at home for years to come.

This class will cover everything from basic woodworking with hand tools to cutting glass to archival matting for artwork.

Beginning with traditional forms of drawing, this 4-week class will start by teaching comparative measurement, and the basic techniques artists have used to draw for hundreds of years.

Come explore contemporary art galleries, artist studios, pottery, and more.

You’ll learn how to transfer an image onto your plate, create tone and texture with different marks, ink and wipe the plate, and use the press to make your first prints.
