Spring Botanical Dye Printmaking – Online

In this introduction to botanical dye printing, learn how to extract nature’s textures and colors to print on paper. Working with fresh leaves participants will learn how to make bundles to dye by boiling and steaming. During the workshop participants can work along with instructor and make several pieces. The class starts with simple and easily available plant dyes and discuss other dyes and safety considerations. Discussion of setup for home dyeing including materials, equipment and safety will be covered. Take notes during workshop is advised. A list of basic supplies needed and a resource sheet will be available after registration.
