Creating more space for customers on Georgetown’s narrow sidewalks will encourage social distancing, support outdoor dining, and create a livelier and more inviting pedestrian experience.

More than 25 Georgetown small businesses are celebrating cherry blossom season, March 20 – April 11, with storefront decorations, specials & enter-to-win prize drawing.

In its 7th edition, five commissioned works will be on display beginning April 9 for three months during the Georgetown BID’s free outdoor public art experience, also to feature both in-person and virtual walking tours and artist talks.

In its 7th edition, the free experience will be viewable by day, and brighter by night – featuring five works this Spring, and three in the Summer.

Several scenes from the movie were shot in Georgetown, featuring the old Georgetown theater and reprised Commander Salamander store, among others.

An extended Small Business Saturday promotion kicks off the season, followed by a Georgetown holiday window and streatery competition, and holiday gift guides.

The 7th annual light art exhibition, traditionally held every December, will move to an extended two-part series next year to ensure a safer and more comfortable visitor experience.

Virtual celebrations are weelcome, and restaurants and shops will be open.

In its 27th year, the promotional event will honor the spirit of Taste of Georgetown – with take-out, delivery & outdoor dining specials + shopping & service promotions in Georgetown.
