Palantir Technologies is a Silicon Valley software company that builds the world’s leading platform for data integration and secure, collaborative analysis. Founded in Palo Alto, CA in 2004, Palantir opened its D.C.-area outpost in 2007 in Tysons Corner, doing its best to create an East Coast version of its California headquarters (complete with employees in flip-flops buzzing around the office on scooters). In 2015, the company moved into its top choice of D.C. neighborhood, Georgetown, to be part of a vibrant community with easy access to both transit and highways convenient to clients throughout the D.C. area and lined with unique businesses, architecture, and historical sites.
In addition to everything from helping multiple branches of the United States military protect soldiers from harm to implementing privacy protective capabilities to enable responsible information sharing within the Intelligence Community to enhancing cybersecurity and combating fraud at some of the world’s largest financial institutions, Palantir now helps non-profits like the Polaris Project and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children fight human trafficking and federal agencies throughout D.C. combat fraud and crime.
Palantir is committed to getting involved with community service organizations and small businesses in Georgetown to expand its social responsibility mission in the Washington area.
