Several local tour companies are offering more than 30 GLOW-inspired walking tours, tying the exhibition to history, photography, and art themes. Visit georgetownglowdc.com/walking-tours to book yours now, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the five installations on display through June 27 as part of the Georgetown BID’s free outdoor public light art experience.
You can also learn more about the installations during one of our “Artist Is In” programs. Nearly every weekend during GLOW, select artists will be stationed at their installations from 7 – 9 pm to answer all of your questions. Stop by and learn what inspired their piece, how long it took to create something so Insta-worthy, and just how many lights, wires, and other materials went into their work. This Saturday, May 8, artists Chris Combs & David Greenfieldboyce will be stationed at their installation, Madness Method, pictured above.
