World Cup Ice Cream Party

Yala Greek Ice Cream (3143 N St NW) is celebrating a lot this Sunday, July 19: The World Cup Final, National Ice Cream Day, and the shop’s first anniversary. Join them for an outdoor World Cup watch party and try four new, limited-edition flavors inspired by the semifinalists — including Argentina’s Dulce de Leche, Spain’s San Sebastián (burnt Basque cheesecake), France’s Pain au Chocolat, and England’s Strawberry & Cream. The flavors will only be available on Sunday while supplies last. Yala will also have guest scoopers, hourly giveaways, and prizes, and will be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds to DC SCORES.

In other World Cup news, Flor. Coffee + Books (1220 31st St NW) is hosting a watch party for the third place game on Saturday, July 18 from 4 pm – 9 pm (the watch party for the final is sold out). Your ticket includes two beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available), one lomito Argentino (their take on the classic steak sandwich), and one alfajor — a typical Argentinian pastry.
