Valentine’s & Galentine’s Day Card-Making Workshops

Grab your best friends for a Painting with Paper: Galentine’s Cards workshop on Wednesday, February 14 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Shop Made in DC (1304 Wisconsin Ave NW). Learn how to use modern collaging techniques to make your own set of cards for your loved ones. Instructor Ariana R-G will guide you through her unique approach of building mixed media art using magazine clippings, card stock, and paint pens. Whether it’s your first time collaging or you’re a pro, this workshop will have you looking at magazines in a new way. All materials will be provided to make up to three cards with envelopes. Washington Printmakers Gallery (1675 Wisconsin Ave NW) is hosting a card-making workshop of its own on Sunday, February 11 from 4 pm – 6 pm. Whether you’re with a significant other or a friend, enjoy Champagne and chocolate while you print cards using stencils, stamps, collage and watercolors.
