‘Shop for Hunger’ Benefit Event

Sid + Ann Mashburn (3251 Prospect St NW) is hosting a SOME (So Others Might Eat) benefit event on Friday, October 23 – Saturday, October 31 in support of DC neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. In-store shoppers who make a one-time $80 donation to the interfaith community-based service organization will receive a Shop for Hunger card good for 20% off nearly all in-store purchases that week. SOME has been the nonprofit partner of the Sid + Ann Mashburn DC location since 2019. Funds raised from the Shop for Hunger Card benefit the provision of daily emergency services, affordable housing, counseling, substance use disorder treatment, job training, and other crucial services.
