New Steakhouse Opens in Georgetown
New steakhouse Ox & Olive opened this month at 3201 Cherry Hill Lane NW, helmed by Jont and Bresca chef Ryan Ratino. Beef is the star of the show and is sourced from over a dozen farms. Order a large-format, rotating cut, or try a tenderloin, short rib, striploin, or wagyu flank steak – paired with a slew of martinis to choose from. Black bass and Spanish turbot are available from the sea, and sides include steak fries with sour cream ranch, and a whipped potato loaded with beef jam, comte cheese, chive, and cultured butter. On the “small and tasty” section of the menu, mini brisket hot dogs jump out. For dessert, try the carrot cake with cream cheese mousse, pineapple, pecan praline, and brown butter, or milk chocolate soft serve with a side of shoestring fries. A $95 Chef’s Table experience is also available.
