New Mural in Honor of America250

In honor of America250, the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain commissioned the design of a new mural by Spanish comics artist and illustrator Paco Roca. The mural is located on the wall along the street by Grace Episcopal Church (1041 Wisconsin Ave NW) and highlights Spain’s contribution to the American Revolutionary War and to the origins of the U.S. – connecting this shared history with the diversity of current-day DC. Join the unveiling ceremony on Thursday, June 25 at 5 pm, featuring DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Ambassador of Spain to the United States, Ángeles Moreno Bau. The mural is presented in partnership with the Executive Office of the Mayor, MuralsDC, Georgetown Heritage, and Grace Episcopal Church.
