Dutch Darlings Opens in Georgetown

General   •   October 1, 2026

Swing by the grand opening of Dutch Darlings (1003 Wisconsin Ave NW) on Friday, October 2 and be the first to try their stroopwafels — a traditional Dutch cookie made from two thin, baked waffle-like layers joined together by a sweet, traditionally caramel syrup filling. Dutch Darlings is run by father-daughter duo Hans and Maaike Ravesteijn, and every stroopwafel is baked daily by hand. They expect to sell out early, so arrive when they open at 10am to stock up. In addition to the traditional stroopwafels, the shop will rotate seasonal flavors. October varieties include birthday sprinkle, cinnamon streusel, maple pecan, s’mores, pumpkin spice, and cookies & scream. You can pair your treat with a coffee (try the Stroopwafel Latte!) and shop other curated Dutch and European goodies.
