3,000 Lightbulbs Pulse in New Art Exhibition
Join Georgetown University Art Galleries (3535 Prospect St NW) for an opening reception to celebrate their Fall 2026 exhibitions on Friday, September 18 from 6pm – 8pm. Check out Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Look Alive, a selection of installations that invite visitors to become part of responsive environments that shift through movement, gaze, and biometric data. Among the installations, don’t miss Pulse Map, featuring nearly 3,000 lightbulbs that are each pulsing with the recorded heartbeat of a different person. You can record your own heartbeat and become part of the installation.
Professor E. Brady Robinson’s Studio Hours / After Hours will also be on display, exploring and documenting the people and places that define Baltimore’s creative community. The exhibition is a compilation of studio portraits, album cover collaborations, and photographs from Robinson’s decade-long archive.
Enjoy live music and light refreshments while you discover the art. This event is free and open to the public.
