Set against the historic backdrop of DC’s oldest neighborhood, GLOW in Georgetown is the region’s only free curated outdoor public light art experience. Established in 2014, the innovative exhibition has quickly become one of DC’s most anticipated holiday traditions.
The 7th edition of GLOW is shifting to Spring and Summer 2021 – an extended, two-part series featuring a total of eight art works by local DC artists, to ensure a safer and more comfortable visitor experience.
Five art works will be exhibited April 2 – June 27, on display both day and night. Following, Summer GLOW will feature three art works that will transform Georgetown’s public alleys, July 2 – September 26. Although the works will still incorporate light as a primary feature, they will be designed for visitors to view and experience both throughout the day, and into the evening. An announcement of the artists and their projects will follow in early 2021.
