The nonprofit Georgetown Heritage, in partnership with the C&O Canal National Historical Park in Georgetown, is welcoming a new canal boat, “The Georgetown Heritage,” with a ribbon-cutting, christening and celebration next Thursday.

For the first time in 10 years you’ll be soon be able to tour the C&O Canal in Georgetown by boat.

Shoppers can expect the new permanent location to be ready for business this summer.

Buffet brunches, kid-friendly eats, shop-and-sip events, and more – many of which are in Georgetown.

Buck Mason replaces the former Francesca’s apparel store at 3128 M St. NW, which closed in late-2020 after the parent company filed for bankruptcy protection. The 1,200-square-foot Buck Mason is in the historic Nordlinger Building, built in 1906.

There’s no need to leave your pup behind when checking in at the Rosewood in DC. Dogs are welcome to stay with human guests and greeted upon arrival with a bed, bowls, and welcome amenities.

This is the busiest spring the Georgetown BID has had in two years, and we’re thrilled that Georgetown feels so alive again.

More than 1,600 people typically participate in the self-guided tour each year. This year’s event will take place April 23 with eight homes and landmarks that showcase the historic neighborhood’s architecture, including modern design enhancements.

Georgetown is its own little village and it’s absolutely gorgeous. If you find yourself in DC, Georgetown’s campus is a great place to explore along with the countless restaurants and cobblestone streets around.
