L’Enfant Galerie

The large L’Enfant Galerie on Wisconsin Avenue is packed from wall–to-wall with antiques from every century since the 1700s. Chinaware, paintings, furniture and large, free-standing decorations from dozens of countries are all on sale, collected mostly from local residents who are looking to offload anything from an armoire to a set of chairs to a set of drinking glasses. Maureen Taylor, one of the gallery managers, says that the gallery specializes mostly in paintings, and collects occasionally from auctions or other dealers, too.
