Save the Date: Georgetown Canal Day on October 19

Save the date for Georgetown Canal Day on Sunday, October 19! Georgetown Heritage is celebrating the C&O Canal with a day of family-friendly festivities in the Mule Yard. Join them from 11am – 2pm for live music, food, games, a chance to meet the mules, the first annual Canal Boat Regatta, and more. In the meantime, sign up for an Industry & Innovation walking tour of the C&O Canal, available Thursday-Sunday all summer long. Learn about what it was like to be a canal boat worker, the science behind the lock system, and get a special chance to board the docked canal boat.
