Join Dumbarton House June 4 from 7 pm – 8 pm for an outdoor trivia night on the garden grounds of the museum. Topics will include DC history, geography, movies, plants and animals, and political history. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. Teams are limited to six people and attendees must provide their own picnic blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
If you can’t make it Friday but are interested in Dumbarton House, take an exterior museum tour June 6 from 1 pm – 2 pm and learn how Dumbarton House and its surrounding landscape have changed over the past 200 years, since its construction in 1799. Explore the site and imagine what it might have looked like with 8.5 acres of open land, multiple outbuildings, and a view down to the Potomac River. This tour will last approximately 45 minutes and take place entirely outdoors.
