Sparkling for the Semiquincentennial: A Celebration of Dumbarton House

Join us for a sparkling evening as we toast the nation’s 250th birthday and Dumbarton House’s long-awaited reopening! Guests will be able to explore our circa 1799 historic house museum and surrounding gardens while celebrating with libations and light bites.

Dumbarton House, the second-oldest extant residential building in D.C., holds an essential piece of the story of our nation’s capital. It housed civil servants as the Republic began, and has continued to stand sentinel as the United States has grown and developed. Furthering its own history, the house has also served as the headquarters of the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) since 1932.

Individual ticket prices are $250 (plus applicable Eventbrite fees; tax-deductible value of $115). The NSCDA welcomes individual, corporate, and community sponsors, whose support will make possible this event as well as a special reopening exhibition, NSCDA: Past, Present, and Future, chronicling the Society’s work as leaders in historic preservation.
