Students will learn how to prepare a drawing for their image, cut and tear a piece of canvas, stretch it on stretcher bars, staple it, and then apply a base coat primer, a gesso layer, sand if necessary, then draw a grid in pencil on the surface, then paint an image of their choice in acrylic paint on the surface, and then finish with matte varnish.
