Haiku Collage

Come join us for an afternoon of art-making that merges writing and art. After introductions, we’ll read a few haiku poems and write one or two of our own, then move on to basic collage: laying down a background, adding compositional elements–magazine cutouts, photos, art papers, and of course snippets of our haiku. Then we’ll add textural layers for interest and a finishing flourish to our poetry “masterpieces.” Release inhibitions, de-stress, get inspired, and make friends while creating a new piece of art suitable for framing (or at least for the fridge) … this is FUN art, not fine art!

Adult Beginner, no experience necessary.
