Book Talk: Citizen Justice – The Environmental Legacy of William O. Douglas Public Advocate and Conservation Champion

The C&O Canal in our back yard, and so important to Georgetown and the communities that border it was almost lost save the advocacy of US Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas. Perhaps remembered for many other things: four wives, as a potential vice presidential nominee, the target of impeachment proceedings and for his tenure as the longest-serving justice on the court, his most enduring legacy is his advocacy for the environment.
