Hook’s is a 5,000 square foot light and airy space broken into two distinctive areas. Guests enter into an inviting contemporary, neighborhood-feel design complete with walnut furniture from Italy with touches of white leather and chrome that embellish this simplistic space. Relaxing banquettes offer seating near the 18-seat bar and a long communal table opposite the bar faces a grand painting of ocean life, which prepares the guest for the menu. Guests make their way back to a more formal, 155-seat dining space with artistic, soft pin lighting that directs the eye to the ocean life photography decorating the walls. With clean lines and a minimalist feel, Hook adds that touch of elegance in organic fashion to Georgetown.
The lunch, dinner and brunch menu change daily depending on what is fresh off the boat and straight from the farm. The dessert menu shines with dishes created by Pastry Chef Heather Chittum, a StarChefs.com Rising Star of 2006, Best Pastry Chef winner--2008 Restaurant Association awards, and previously of Circle Bistro, Dish and Notti Bianche. With a platform that embraces her methodology of purity through ingredients, Chittum concludes guests’ meals with decadent flavorful delights.
