The very first Paolo's found its home in historic Georgetown in the 1980's.

The bustling ristorante has become a corner fixture in this centuries old melting pot amongst politicians, travelers, shoppers and students. Join Paolo, sit outside and watch the world go by, sit inside and while your pizza is prepared in our brick oven, and most of all, enjoy!

A little Italian makes everything better...

Paolo firmly believes this, and we tend to agree. Traditional Italian made California fresh. Mesmerizing aromas of fresh garlic, sauce simmering, vegetables grillings. Try the Crispy Eggplant Ravioli stuffed with goat cheese, and the Tuscan Steak Fritte topped with both crispy Sweet and Idaho potato shoestrings, oven roasted cipolline onions, gorgonzola steak butter and salsa verde, or our Rosemary Roasted Half Chicken atop garlic mashed potatoes. Of course there is always our selection of Pizzas that you will wake up in the night craving, just ask Paolo.

Nip & Tuck! A Facelift for Paolo!
A longtime fixture on Wisconsin Avenue, Paolo¹s Ristorante has weathered well through rain, snow, fire, politicos and, of course, the nineties. Capital Restaurant Concepts, the parent company of Paolo¹s, decided it time to put Paolo¹s under the knife. After fire damaged a part of the property last year, and the vintage building began showing its age, architects and planners went to work redesigning the existing footprint.
Now, just in time for sunny days and pleasant evenings, Paolo¹s happily welcomes Georgetown back inside. The refurbished space is warm and clubby, with tigerwood walls, elements of wrought iron, metallic fabrics, hand made crackle glass tables, and imported carved hardwood chairs. The space also offers colored glass modern accents, private booths and a community table.
Naturally, if you have new digs, you have to have new dishes. The "Fra Diavolo" Seafood and Lobster Linguine features Shrimp, Scallops, Mussels, Clams and Calamari with half of a Maine Lobster in our spicy "Devil" sauce over Linguine. Or, choose the rich Tortelloni and Pancetta with Garlic, crushed Red Pepper and Sage and Parsley Butter Sauce. The seasonal new pizza is the Merquez, with Spicy Lamb Sausage, Feta Cheese, Garlic Oil, Pine Nuts, Fresh Herbs and Quattro Formaggi.
