Tudor Place: Architectural Historian Calder Loth: Greek Architectural Odyssey
On Tuesday, October 22nd, Calder Loth, Senior Architectural Historian (semi-retired) of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, returns to Tudor Place (1644 31st Street, NW) to trace the development of Greek Revival style and how it enriches the U.S. and European architectural landscape. From 6:30 to 8 p.m., in an inimitably engaging style, Mr. Loth will use images from his personal archive and others to show how Greek architectural vocabulary describes much of what we see today in our region to illustrate the differences between the Greek and Roman orders. Be sure to join Tudor Place members for a glass of wine before the lecture and enjoy Tudor Place's historical architecture. Complimentary to Landmark Society members. Tudor Place members: $15; non-members: $20. Click here to register. Questions? Call Development Officer Jennifer Schleining at 202.965.0400 Ext: 104 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
